3. I GIVE the following legacies (free of duty) namely:-

To my nephew John Brown the sum of TWENTY POUNDS and the Gold watch which belonged to my late Husband Mr Leslie.
To the Treasurer for the time being of the Mount Zion Baptist Church St John's Wood N.W.8. the sum of FIFTY POUNDS for the General purposes of the said Church and I DECLARE that the receipt of the said Treasurer shall be a sufficient discharge to my Executors who shall not be concerned to see to the application of the said Legacy
To my niece Emily Brown my Gold ring set with a single diamond and my Gold horse-shoe brooch
4. SUBJECT to the payment of my funeral and testamentary expenses and debts I GIVE DEVISE AND BEQUEATH all my real and. personal property not hereby or by any Codicil hereto otherwise specifically disposed of Unto my Son Frederick George Bowsher for his own absolute use and benefit.

BE IT KNOWN that Harriet Leslie of 15 Clarendon Gardens Maida Vale in the County of Middlesex Widow died on the 18th day of February 1939 at the Paddington Hospital Harrow Road in the said County.
AND BE IT FURTHER KNOWN that at the date hereunder written the last Will and Testament (a copy whereof is hereunto annexed) of the said deceased was proved and registered in the Principal Probate Registry of His Majesty's High Court of Justice and that Administration of all the Estate which be law devolves to and vests in the personal representative of the said deceased was granted by the aforesaid Court to Stanley Galbraith Lawrence of 7 New Square Lincolns Inn in the County of London Solicitor one of the Executors names in the said will Thomas Reynolds the other Executor named therein have renounced Probate ????.
And it is hereby certified that an Affidavit for Inland Revenue has been delivered wherein it is shown that the gross value of the said Estate in Great Britain (exclusive of what the said deceased may have been possessed of or entitled to as a Trustee and not beneficially) amounts to £869/3/3 and that the net value of the personal estate amounts to £839/19/4.
And it is further certified that it appears by a Receipt signed by an Inland Revenue Officer on the said affidavit that £16/17/9 on account of Estate Duty and Interest on such duty has been paid.
